For Anesthesiologists and CRNAs

Two Taps. Not Twenty.

AIMS Clinical documents cases at the speed you work. iPhone is the intraoperative surface — dark display for OR safety, 72px touch targets for gloved hands, and offline-first architecture so the OR keeps moving when WiFi doesn't.

Any Critical Action Over Two Taps Is a Defect

The Two-Tap Rule is a hard design law in AIMS. Every critical intraoperative action completes in two taps or fewer. No keyboard. No menus. No scrolling.

Medication Administration

Tap 1: Select drug from ASTM-color-coded grid. Tap 2: Confirm dose. Timestamp captures at Tap 1. The event enters the audit log. No keyboard entry required.

ASTM D4774

Drug Safety Built Into the Interface

Every medication button carries its ASTM D4774 class color. 8 standardized drug classes. Color persists across every drug in that class — a visual safety layer that does not require the provider to read the label.

Fentanyl50 mcgOpioids
Rocuronium50 mgNeuromuscular
Propofol200 mgHypnotics
Neostigmine3 mgReversal Agents

Color coding follows ASTM D4774 — each class matches the standardized syringe label color.

8-Second Undo Window

Fat-Finger Correction in 8 Seconds

Medication logs display an undo banner for 8 seconds. During this window, the provider can reverse the action with no audit entry created. After 8 seconds, the event is permanent and corrections require FaceID authentication and a reason code.

Works in the OR. Every OR.

Operating rooms have WiFi dead zones, lead-lined walls, and basement suites. AIMS stores in-progress case data in an AES 256 encrypted local store via the iOS Secure Enclave. Events queue locally and sync automatically when connectivity restores. No data loss guaranteed.

Clinical Safety at the Hardware Level

Warm Clinical Hold

Screen locks immediately when a case is in progress. FaceID required to resume. A locked case cannot be abandoned without an admin override and audit entry.

FaceID for Privileged Actions

FaceID required for all privileged operations:

  • Event corrections
  • Case handoffs
  • Admin overrides
  • Privileged session resume

Chart Once. Submit Once.

AIMS handles documentation, charge capture, and quality reporting in a single workflow. The same record that documents the intraoperative case generates the billing claim. No parallel systems. No redundant entry. No translation layer between clinical and financial staff.
